Data

• 240 records: 196 sovereign states, 42 dependencies and 2 disputed territories, on 5 continents and in 35 regions. Each record is built from Wikidata and carries names in the local languages, capitals, area, population with the day it was counted, borders, currencies, official languages, calling codes, internet domains and memberships.
• Europe is published: 57 entries, each with an overview and six articles (history, geography, politics, economy, culture and travel), and four pages built from the record: statistics, flag, time and public holidays. 64 countries have their articles written, 448 articles in all.
• Statistics for all 240: 43 series from 2000, from the World Bank, the IMF with its projections, and the Human Development Index via Wikidata. Every figure is printed with the year or day it refers to, and none is ranked.
• Flags for all 240 at their own proportions, 235 coats of arms and 353 former flags, each with its licence and credit, the circular marks from circle-flags (MIT), and a locator map and an outline per country from Natural Earth.
• Public holidays and a time page for the 57 European entries: the holidays this year and next, from Nager.Date with a written correction list per country; the zones, summer-time transitions, sunrise and sunset computed from tzdata and CLDR.
• 155 currencies from the ISO 4217 list, each with its sign, its ISO code and number, and an amount written the way English writes it and the way its own countries do.
• 202 official languages, each with the name it gives itself, its ISO 639-1 and 639-3 codes, the script it is written in, its family and every country whose record makes it official.
• 72 groups, from the United Nations to the East African Community, each membership counted from the records or read from the roster the organisation publishes, with the day it was read.

Added

• A page for every official language and a card board at /languages, searchable by name, own name, ISO code or country and filterable by reach, continent, script and family. Old code URLs such as /language/de redirect to the name URLs.
• The language registry, data/_languages.json, which maps every record spelling to one language (British English to English, Putonghua to Chinese, Bokmål and Nynorsk to Norwegian) and names the record entries that are not languages.
• Official languages linked from every country page's At a glance strip, from the record on /stats and from every continent, region and group page.
• This changelog, with an RSS feed at /changelog/rss.xml.

Changed

• Population, area and local time in the At a glance strip link to the statistics, the geography article and the time page.
• The Revised date on the homepage follows the newest release or the newest record, whichever is later, instead of the newest country record alone.
• The figure tables no longer number their cells or print a count beside their title.
• The boards for continents, regions, countries, groups and currencies share one header: the title, the counts under it, the intro and the plate beside it. Regions, countries and groups have new plates drawn as relief models, in the style of the continents globe.
